VIPER LEMON BOTTLE LYOPHILISED POWDER

Available sizes: 10 ml

Three constituents, three biochemistries

Unlike most preparations of this type, Lemon Bottle's composition is stated. Each part is well characterised in its own right:

  • Lecithin (phosphatidylcholine). An amphiphilic phospholipid — the basis of biological membranes and a surfactant. Phosphatidylcholine has a long research history in adipose tissue work specifically because of its membrane activity.

  • Bromelain. A complex of proteolytic enzymes from pineapple stem, studied both for proteolysis and as an anti-inflammatory agent in its own literature.

  • Riboflavin (vitamin B2). Precursor to FAD and FMN, the flavin cofactors required by acyl-CoA dehydrogenases — the enzymes that perform fatty acid oxidation.

Studying a formulation

A compounded preparation raises the same methodological question as any mixture: an observation cannot be attributed to a constituent without testing them separately. Research using formulations of this kind is generally comparative — formulation against constituents, or formulation against vehicle — rather than mechanistic.

Lipo-C + Vitamin B12 is the other compounded preparation in this category, and Vitamin B12 the cofactor it shares.

Documentation and verification

Certificates of Analysis are published for tested products and batches. A certificate is a batch-specific record: it reports what was measured, by which method, on a stated date, against a batch identifier. It is evidence about the sample analysed at the time of analysis, and it is silent on attributes it does not list and on what has happened to the material since.

The batch number is the field that connects the document to a physical vial. Where the identifier on a vial does not appear on a certificate, the certificate does not describe that vial, however thorough the analysis behind it was. Batch records can be searched directly, and the guides below explain what each field establishes and what it does not.
