Mazdutide

Available sizes: 10 mg
Oxyntomodulin is a 37-residue peptide produced from the same proglucagon precursor as GLP-1, and it is a natural dual agonist at the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors — weakly at both, and rapidly degraded. It has been of interest as a template for decades precisely because nature had already solved the dual-agonism problem.
Mazdutide (IBI362, originally LY3305677) is an engineered oxyntomodulin analogue: the natural dual activity retained, with acylation for albumin binding and substitutions for protease resistance added to make it usable.
Mazdutide's trials have been conducted largely in China, and that is a substantive fact rather than a commercial footnote. Reported incretin responses differ across populations — in body composition at a given BMI, in the relative contribution of insulin secretion versus resistance, and in the dose ranges studied.
For a researcher, that makes mazdutide's dataset a partial control for questions the Western trial programmes cannot answer on their own, and it means results should not be assumed to transfer in either direction without care.
GLORY-1 — phase 3 in obesity in Chinese participants.
DREAMS — the phase 3 type 2 diabetes programme.
Phase 2 dose-ranging studies establishing the dual-agonist profile.
Hepatic endpoints, where the glucagon component gives the same rationale as survodutide's.
Mazdutide received approval in China in 2025. It is not approved in the United Kingdom, the European Union or the United States.
Supplied as a lyophilised powder. Reconstitute gently; store reconstituted material refrigerated and protected from light.
Survodutide is the other GLP-1/glucagon agonist and the closest comparator, differing in backbone origin. Tirzepatide pairs GLP-1 with GIP instead — the two pairings are the field's main competing hypotheses about which second receptor matters.
Certificates of Analysis are published for tested products and batches. A certificate is a batch-specific record: it reports what was measured, by which method, on a stated date, against a batch identifier. It is evidence about the sample analysed at the time of analysis, and it is silent on attributes it does not list and on what has happened to the material since.
The batch number is the field that connects the document to a physical vial. Where the identifier on a vial does not appear on a certificate, the certificate does not describe that vial, however thorough the analysis behind it was. Batch records can be searched directly, and the guides below explain what each field establishes and what it does not.
