VIPER PINEALON LYOPHILISED POWDER

Available sizes: 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg

A three-residue regulatory peptide

Pinealon is Glu-Asp-Arg. At three residues it sits at the extreme end of what is usually described as a signalling peptide, and the mechanism claimed for it is correspondingly unconventional — penetration into the cell and nucleus, and interaction with DNA to influence gene expression.

Whether a tripeptide can do this is precisely what the class's literature sets out to demonstrate, and it is the reason this research reads differently from receptor pharmacology.

Research areas

  • Neuroprotection under experimental hypoxia, the most common model

  • Oxidative stress markers in neuronal tissue and culture

  • Cognitive and behavioural measures in rodent ageing models

  • Apoptosis regulation in neurons under stress

  • Cell-penetration and nuclear localisation, testing the proposed mechanism itself

Epithalon is the better-known member of the same family and Cartilax the tissue-extract form. For neuroprotection through characterised receptor pathways instead, see Semax and P021.

Documentation and verification

Certificates of Analysis are published for tested products and batches. A certificate is a batch-specific record: it reports what was measured, by which method, on a stated date, against a batch identifier. It is evidence about the sample analysed at the time of analysis, and it is silent on attributes it does not list and on what has happened to the material since.

The batch number is the field that connects the document to a physical vial. Where the identifier on a vial does not appear on a certificate, the certificate does not describe that vial, however thorough the analysis behind it was. Batch records can be searched directly, and the guides below explain what each field establishes and what it does not.
